    The major themes of my current research are (a) lessons from economic modernization of East Asia for other regions; (b) the normative foundations of relations between African and Asian countries; (c) structural and cultural dependency in the context of the deepening ties between African countries and Asia’s major powers; (d) the political economy of poverty reduction; and (e) the relevance of Ali Mazrui's ideas for deepening our knowledge about AFRASIA.
