    マイクロ波帯域通過フィルタ(BPF)の形状自動設計を実現するために、昨年度提案した手法を改善すべく2023年度は強化学習アルゴリズム等の見直しを行い、以下の研究実績を上げた。 (I) 深層強化学習を用いたBPFの自動設計:昨年度は深層Qネットワークを用いて複数の仕様の設計過程を一つのニューラルネットワーク(NN)で学習する手法を提案した。しかし、この手法では構造調整量を離散値でしか表現することができず、構造調整の回数や設計可能なフィルタ構造が調整量の刻み幅に依存するという課題があった。そこで2023年度は、強化学習アルゴリズムとしてDDPG(Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient method)を導入した。DDPGを用いれば構造調整量を連続値で表現できるため、構造調整回数を大幅に減らすことができる。この手法と昨年度の提案手法を併用することによって、共振器3段のマイクロストリップBPFを例に中心周波数2.90~3.10 GHz、比帯域幅4~6%の範囲で自動設計が可能なNNを構築した。この範囲で2000通り以上の仕様についてBPFを設計した結果、すべての場合で設計に成功し、本自動設計は初期値依存性が低く高速設計が可能であることを示した。 (II) 高速特性計算のための代理モデルの構築:深層強化学習の学習時間短縮には高速にBPFの特性計算を実行するための代理モデルが必須である。しかし、それを構築するためには電磁界解析による教師データの生成が必要であり、それに要する時間が問題であった。そこで、解析時間は短いが解析精度の低いデータを用いてNNを一度構築した後、解析時間は長いが解析精度の高いデータを用いて出力を補正するという代理モデルを提案した。提案法の適用例として3段マイクロストリップBPFを対象に代理モデルを構築し、提案法の有効性を検証した。, 日本学術振興会, 科学研究費助成事業 基盤研究(C), 2022/04 -2025/03, 基盤研究(C), 埼玉大学
  • Research and development on automated design method of microwave bandpass filters using neural network

    In this study, an automatic design method using both a forward model and an inverse model constructed by a neural network has been proposed to realize automation of the design of microwave bandpass filters (BPFs). In the proposed design method, initial values of structural parameters of BPF to be designed are first estimated with high accuracy from design specifications by the inverse model, and then the structural parameters are optimized with the help of fast calculation of frequency responses using the forward model. Furthermore, this study has also proposed a framework for reinforcement learning using a deep Q-network to acquire design techniques with a computing machine.   • Research and Development on On-chip Wideband Filtering Antennas for Millimeter-wave-band High-speed Wireless Communication

    In this research, an effective design method of wideband filtering antenna (filtenna) has been established for the first time by the introduction of wideband filter synthesis theory to a wideband antenna design, enabling a co-design of wideband filter and antenna. Furthermore, a microstrip filtenna having a fractional bandwidth 20% has been designed and tested.   • Studies on 60GHz Millimeter-Wave Wideband Bandpass Filters for Future Ultra-High Speed Wireless Communications

    Novel microstrip multi-mode resonators with multiple transmission zeros are proposed and used to develop compact high-performance millimeter-wave wideband bandpass filters (BPFs). A BPF with a fractional bandwidth (FBW) of 20% at 25GHz and a BPF with a FBW of 10% at 60GHz are designed respectively, and both BPFs realize the desired wide passband, sharp skirt property, and very wide stopband. A rigorous synthesis theory of wideband BPFs using microstrip short-circuited stubs is proposed and a design method of the filter using optimization method is developed. A novel wideband BPF using both short-circuited and an open-ended stubs is also proposed to produce multiple transmission zeros in its stopband. A BPF with a FBW of 40% is designed and fabricated, and the measured response shows the expected excellent performance.   • 装置内ハーネスの無線化を実現する低遅延多元接続通信技術の研究開発
    本研究では車載ハーネスの中でも特にICT化によって数量が増大しつつあり、軽量化に効果的と思われるセンサ用のハーネスに焦点を絞ることにする。その場合の基本要件は、多数のセンサのリアルタイムモニタリングを実現する低遅延多元接続無線技術、上位の車載ネットワークの標準化動向との整合性、利用シーンにおける耐干渉性(セキュリティ)となる。これらの要件を前提としつつ、熱環境の問題からもハーネスの無線化の要請が高いエンジンルーム(ER)を主対象として、電波伝搬の詳細な測定・分析、車両内伝搬の基礎的特性の解明、高周波回路シミュレーションや電磁界解析の結果等に基づく通信方式の検討、実車両を用いた通信方式の仮説検証実験を行い、最終的に、システム遅延0.5 ms、ノード数200、通信速度10 Mbps/Chを満足しかつ耐干渉性の高い無線通信の基本技術を確立する。, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, Strategic Information and Communications R&D Promotion Programme, 2012/07 -2015/03, Competitive research funding
  • Development of Frequency Selective Multifunction Surface and Its Application to Millimeter-wave Filters

    A new planar resonator called frequency-selective multifunction surfaces has been proposed for the development of cutoff-waveguide bandpass filters indispensable for a next-generation millimeter-wave wireless communication. To verify its effectiveness, the proposed resonators were applied to the design of a bandpass filter. As a result, the designed bandpass filter realizes a third-order Chebyshev passband response with 2% bandwidth as well as a wide stopband with 12GHz bandwidth. The size of the designed filter can be reduced to 30% of conventional three-dimensional filter circuits.
