- Historical Research on Independence of War Disabled Veterans in the Postwar Japan

2021年(令和3年）度は、本研究を遂行する上で基盤発展期と位置付けた。戦傷病者の家族に関する分析を担当する藤原は、新型コロナウイルス感染防止のために予定していた戦傷病者および従軍者の家族への聞き取りを安全面を配慮し時期を限定して行った。聞取り作業に併せて、これまで蒐集した家族の口述記録を再検討し、家族の視点からの戦傷病者の戦後の実態についての考察を深めた。この成果として本研究の研究会（8月9日）にて「戦傷病者の子供が語る父親の個人史 －二次証言の可能性を探るー」と題する報告をして、戦争当事者の語りの代わりとなる二次証言の歴史的妥当性について参加者と意見交換を行った。 戦傷病者の医療・看護を担当する山下は、付添婦を医療機関に紹介していた看護婦家政婦紹介所および家政婦紹介所の機能や役割を分析し、職業としての付添婦の存続理由を明らかにしようとした。多くの付添婦が戦傷病者を収容していた国立療養所で1950年代に働いていた歴史的・社会的背景を分析した。 戦傷病者の経済状態に取り組む今城は、本研究の研究会(9月4日）において「第二次世界大戦による「生活弱者」に対する政府系金融機関の金融支援の展開ー庶民金庫・恩給金庫および国民金融公庫の事例ー」について報告した。この報告では戦傷病者を含む「生活弱者」がこれらの金融支援制度をどのように利用したのかについて分析した上で、今城の研究分野である戦時・戦後経済史および金融史と社会史を架橋する試みを提示した。, Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (B), 2020/04 -2024/03, Coinvestigator, Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (B), University of Fukui - 障害の歴史性に関する学際統合研究-比較史的な日本観察-

This research project has examined the health transition in Japan during late nineteenth- and early twentieth century. It has included the analysis of health-related themes in Japanese colonies and European countries.
