  Ukai Kozo
  This study tried to apply 'social design' concept to undergraduate students' social practices. For them, social design are considered to be divided to life design (family-work balance) and media design (especially social networking services). We had interviews with graduates who started their own companies. (1) We found that they attach the greatest importance to their natural motivation for work. (2) They ask for their intimate group's approvals, not organizations'. • 「脆弱性」概念の再構築:福祉防災学の視座確立と実践モデルの開発

  平成19年度は、同年3月25日に発生した能登半島地震被災地である輪島市旧門前地域を中心にして、地域の災害時要援護者への対応がどのようになされたのかの実態調査を実施した。調査にあたっては行政、旧門前町諸岡地区、黒島地区、門前地区住民(民生委員、民生協力員、区長、消防団長、公民館長)、介護保険事業者に対して検証ワークショップ、個別インタビュー、知見の確認ワークショップを実施した。 その結果、(1)輪島市旧門前町地域では1995年の阪神・淡路大震災以降、地域の民生委員が主導して「要援護者マップ」を作成し、配慮を要する高齢夫婦世帯、単身高齢者世帯、在宅障害者世帯などを前もって把握するとともに、(2)毎月定期的に友愛訪問活動やふれあい配食サービスなどを実施することにより「顔の見える関係」が構築されていたこと、(3)地震発生直後の地域の災害時要援護者の避難誘導、避難生活支援は、民生委員や区長のリーダーシップのもと多くの地域住民が率先して行ったこと、(4)行政の要援護者対応が本格化するまでには数日の時間を要したこと、(5)とりわけ発災後最初に取り組んだ業務が、部局を横断した地域の要援護者の母集団リスト・マップづくりであったが、これは事前に整備しておくことが可能であったこと、(6)地域の介護保険事業者は、配慮を要する利用者の安否確認を翌日までに済ませ、災害によって生じた新たなニーズに対応するためのサービス調整活動を直ちに進めていたことが明らかになった。 以上の知見を輪島市当局と共有化した。この結果をもとに輪島市では、普段からの見守り体制を体系的に構築するとともに、「災害時に要支援度が高くなる住民め同定」、「誰が、誰を支援するのか」という個別避難支援プランなどを地理情報システム上でデータベース化することを決定し、その作業を2007年度から開始した。, 日本学術振興会, 科学研究費助成事業, 2006 -2007, 萌芽研究, 同志社大学

  The objective of this research is to probe changes in the social structure and political culture of local communities after ten years. In 1989 we did survey researches on local politicians and its constituent using questionnaires. This time a newly-tried survey on local public servants is added. Some of the findings from the research are as follows: 1. There still exists a disparity between prefecture level politicians and small city level politicians in terms of their socio-economic and educational background. 2. The electoral method referred to as "Chiku-suisen", which means only one candidate is allowed in one electoral district, has almost disappeared. 3. In every level of elections there is a growing number of the people who do not have political parties they strongly support. 4. The lack of knowledge and expertise regarding policy-making ability can be seen more among lower level officials than higher level ones, particularly in large local governmental bodies. • Empirical Studies of Japanese Contemporary Networks

  The results of research conducted over the past year are as follows. 1. The shinnyo-en research group sent out a questionnaire to all Reinosha (a person who possesses spiritual powers, a medium) in the Shinnyo-en Religion, approximately 800, of which around 500 were returned completed. Through the questionnaire we were able to obtain first hand data on Reinosha who are the force behind the source of this religious group's magnetism, sesshin (the objective observation of a reflection of one's self through the powers of a Reinosha). As yet sufficient analysis of this data has to be carried out but, nevertheless, a difference in motivation for joining the religion was found between the elder generations, who had a tendency to join because of a feeling of deprivation, whereas younger generations tended to join for the opposite reason, a lack of a feeling of deprivation. However, in either case, it was found that greater immersion in Shinnyo-en's beliefs led to a reconstruction of the believer's mundane ethics. 2. The group studying Honzanji Temple, conducted a number of surveys addressed to members of ko (a small association group formed promote pursuit of religious beliefs). It was found that the ko are relatively independent of the temple in their activities and that one of their features is the social network maintained by middle aged men participating in the ko. 3. In the Ethnic Networks research group, a survey on members of Kozan Kinshi (Kwansan kimshi) Social Association, an association of Korean kinship group in Japan, was conducted. The data suggests that the newly evolving ethnicity of the Koreans in Japan is the product of a strategic re-interpretation of the regionalties and consanguinity they have traditionally maintained. 4. Research on persons of Chinese descent in Japan expanded on survey data obtained from the Kyoto Manpukuji Temple Futosho Association the year before, by conducting individual interviews whilst also pursuing an explanation of the mechanism which supports the maintenance of Chinese ethnicity. This was carried out by examining the process involved in the formation of the Fukien community in Kyoto. 5. The aim of the above research, during this past year, was to grasp a composite picture of modern Japanese networks by examining the extent of a re-activation of the traditional elements found in religions and ethnic groups within the context of post-modern society of today., Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research, 1990 -1991, Grant-in-Aid for Co-operative Research (A), Osaka University
