本研究では、気候変動が生態系に与える影響を、さまざまな動植物の生物季節の変化を分析、予測することで評価することを目指している。今年度は、研究を始めるにあたり、まず、気候変動の生態系への影響と、温暖化影響評価モデルに関して、文献のレビューを行った。生態系への影響に関しては、多くの生物で高緯度や高標高への移動や、生物季節の変化が観測され続けており、近年では、温暖化の速度と動植物の移動の速度に関する研究に多くの関心が寄せられていることが明らかとなった。これらのレビューをもとに、国際的な研究組織であるFuture Earthによる主要な出版物の一つ「10 New Insights in Climate Science 2019」にレビュワーとして参加し、特に生態系の変化の章に関して、引用論文の推薦やドラフトの修正等に貢献した。 また、モデリングで利用するデータを整備するための準備として、インターネットで提供されている生物季節の記録を、一括してデータとして取り込む手法を検討した。研究開始当初は、アルバイトの雇用を想定していたが、新型コロナウイルス感染拡大措置による外出自粛や在宅勤務により、新規の人材の雇用による実施が難しくなったため、人材に頼らず研究を進める方法を探索した。合わせて、専門家への聞き取り調査や研究協力者との会合に関して、テレビ会議システムや、オンラインで共同作業を行うツール等を検討した。 本研究では、さまざまな動植物の生物季節観測が行われている現地に赴き、観測現場を視察することを、非常に重要な要素として位置づけていた。来年度の少なくとも前半には、観測地における調査ができない可能性も考え、計画内容の優先順位付けと修正を行った。, Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research Grant-in-Aid for Research Activity Start-up, 2019/08 -2021/03, Grant-in-Aid for Research Activity Start-up, Research Institute for Humanity and Nature - Synthesis, Analysis, and Typology of TD Case Studies aiming at Solving the Global Environmental Problems
