Research Projects

  • a comprehensive research about urban living in Kyoto
    Nishimura Takashi
We have three differnt point of views to understand the manifold of Kyoto city. Our three different point of views are "housing and living", "culture" and "exclusion and inclusion of divercity". From these viewpoint, we had turned to some case studies and had some our study group workings. As a result, we clarified those facts of mutual aid and exclusion in various urban communities. Our research contribute to publishing some academic articles and three books., Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research, 2016/04 -2019/03, Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (C), Doshisha University
  • Basic Study of a Residents Self-Government Organization "Cyo" in Modern Kyoto.
    NIHIMURA Takashi; OKUDA Iari
We have 5 papers on this subsidy. A conflict between modernization and traditional life style and traditional urban small community called “cho” is one of the most important themes for our research. And we had obtained permission to inspect and copy some very important historical document about “cho”. So to keep studying, we have to make clear the perspective about “cho” in modern Kyoto., Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research, 2011 -2013, Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (C), Doshisha University
