2020年度は国内の他大学や海外への出張ができなかったため、資料収集の計画を大きく変更し、それに従って研究の内容も変更した。まず海外出張はすべて中止し、学会は延期された。国内での学会はオンラインとなり、他大学の図書館については入館だけでなく、文献の取り寄せという形での利用も不可能となった。そのため、本来の研究課題に関連性があり、また日本で購入できる資料を中心に進められるような課題に取り組んだ。 その結果、まずソ連における抑圧の歴史の解明と犠牲者の情報の調査・記録に取り組んできた非政府団体であるメモリアルの活動について、1980年代後半から現代までの活動を検討した。次に、1991年のソ連の解体後、政治的抑圧の被害者の名誉回復がどのように進められてきたのか、また現在までに関連する制度がどのように変化し、どのような課題が指摘されているのかという問題を、法律や制度の変遷、この問題に関わるメモリアルをはじめとする非政府団体、議員や政党の活動などを中心に明らかにした。 これに加えて、2017年に迎えたロシア革命100周年の記念式典に関する議論の特徴を分析し、それを通じて現在のロシアの政治家やマスメディア、知識人がソ連時代の歴史にどのように向き合おうとしているのかを明らかにしようと試みた。さらに、19世紀のカフカース戦争の評価が、同時代からソ連時代を経て、現在のロシアにおいてどのように変化してきたのかという問題を、歴史家の議論や歴史教科書、社会科教科書の内容などから検討した。 以上の研究結果は、『ワセダ・アジアレビュー』、『ロシア・ユーラシアの経済と社会』、『ユーラシア研究』、『歴史学研究』でそれぞれ発表した（『ユーラシア研究』、『歴史学研究』はそれぞれ2021年の春と秋に掲載予定。） またこれらの研究とは別に、研究テーマに関連する英語の書籍の翻訳にも取り組んだ。, Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (C), 2020/04 -2025/03, Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (C), Doshisha University - Historiography in Eastern Europe during the Socialist Era

On the historiography of Socialist Eastern Europe, basic information was investigated and presented, and individual themes were set and analyzed. Because historical journals are an important medium for considering the history research, we surveyed the history of historical journals of each region.
