  • スラリーの粘度低減効果に及ぼす微小粒子添加時の液体条件および添加条件の影響

    高濃度スラリーの粘度を低減する方法の1つとして微小粒子を添加する方法がある。しかし,本方法は粘度が増加する場合もあり,その低減メカニズムの詳細は不明な部分も多い。この理由の1つとして,本方法のほとんどの報告がスラリー中での粒子の相互作用力や接触状態を詳細に議論できていないことが挙げられる。そこで,本研究では,相互作用力や接触状態を議論しやすくするため,球形かつ比較的粒子径の揃った粒子を用いて,粒子条件,液体条件,スラリー調整条件を系統的に変化させて粘度測定を行うことにより,微小粒子添加時のスラリー粘度低減効果の主要因とそのメカニズムを検討する。 本年度は,主にスラリー調整条件を変化させて検討した。スラリーの分散質にはほぼ単分散の球形シリカを用い,分散媒には蒸留水を用いた。主粒子の粒子径は2.5 μm,添加微小粒子の粒子径は0.1 , 0.3 , 0.5 μmの3種類を用い,添加割合は1.0 vol%とした。また,スラリー調整の前処理条件として,前処理なし,超音波照射(主粒子と微小粒子に同時),超音波照射(主粒子のみ),超音波照射(微小粒子のみ),乳鉢混合の5条件で比較した。その結果,スラリー調整の前処理を行うと,スラリーの粘度低減効果が増加する傾向が確認できた。しかし,その中でも,超音波照射(主粒子のみ),超音波照射(微小粒子のみ)の2条件において,特に大きな粘度低減効果が生じることが示された。類似の条件である超音波処理(主粒子と微小粒子に同時)において低減効果が制限された理由として,主粒子と微小粒子を共に入れた状態で超音波処理を行うと,微小粒子が主粒子表面に付着しにくく,最終的に主粒子間に介在しにくくなるためだと示唆された。また,添加微小粒子の粒子径が大きいほどその低減効果が高いことも示された。, 日本学術振興会, 科学研究費助成事業, 2021/01 -2023/03, 基盤研究(C), 同志社大学
  • Effects of particle surface coverage states on improving particle flowability in a smaller particle admixing system

    We prepared for samples with different particle surface coverage states by changing mixing procedures in a smaller particle admixing system. For these samples, we conducted qualitative evaluations for particle surface coverage states and compressive particle flowability tests. From these results, we investigated effects of the particle surface coverage states on improving particle flowability. As a result, we obtained a larger improving flowability for the samples which were mixed with a high compressed force. Furthermore we discussed a surface coverage structure with the larger improving flowability using surface coverage ratios and coverage diameters obtained from SEM images analysis.   • Evaluation of particle mixture-state using sonic properties

    In order to clearly understand effects of particle mixture-state on transmitting properties of ultrasonic wave for composite materials, we used “model samples” which simplify various parts of the composite materials and could vary freely some parameters, such as volume ratio, the number of interface, array order. As a result, the transmitting wave of the sample attenuated by both transmission and diffraction at the interfaces. Furthermore, the result implied that diffraction attenuation would be dominant than that of transmission when we measured it for an actual composite materials.   • Measurement of a sink velocity of an object in a gas-solid fluidized bed and development of a new fluidized bed separator for improvement of a separation speed

    Measuring method of a sink velocity of an object in a gas-solid fluidized bed was newly designed, and the effect of the bed height on the velocity was investigated. It was found that the height should be lower in order to get the stable velocity. Using this result, a thickener-type gas-solid fluidized bed separator was newly designed and made, and a separation speed was examined. The speed of this separator was 2.4-3.4 times larger than that of previous one.   • Development of high-accuracy dry dense medium separation by controlling fluidization of a gas-solid fluidized bed

    空気分散器の圧力損失が層内の流動挙動に及ぼす影響を検討した。圧力損失が大きい場合は層内において対流が生じにくく, 高精度分離が期待できる結果が得られた。圧力損失が大きい空気分散器を有する流動層カラムを用いて分離実験を行ったところ, 物体サイズによらず安定な分離挙動を示すことが明らかとなった。また, 未分級の粒子を流動化粒子として採用する場合には, 偏析と流動化の激しさの両者を抑制可能な適度な流動化強度が必要であることが示された。, Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research, 2007 -2008, Grant-in-Aid for Young Scientists (Start-up), Okayama University
