共同研究・競争的資金等の研究課題

• ペアワークにおける学習とL2モチベーション：社会文化理論からの考察

  学習者の学びを促進する有効な方法としてペアおよびグループワークは、教育実践において広く活用されている。また、第二言語・外国語教育研究においても、コミュニカティブな言語教授アプローチ (Communicative language teaching)やタスクを中心とした教授法(Task-based language teaching)が主流となって以来、注目されている活動形態のひとつである。しかしながら、その導入がそのまま有益な学びにつながるわけではない。そのため、有益な経験となる協働学習に関する理解を深めるためにはさらなる研究が必要である。
  本研究は、ロシアの発達心理学者ヴィゴツキーの社会文化理論 (Vygotskian Sociocultural theory, 以降SCT)を理論的枠組みとするものである。ペア活動におけるプロセスとプロダクト、そしてモチベーションの発達に焦点をあてる。具体的には、学習者たちがペア活動を通して、学習内容の理解とモチベーションをどのように構築していくのかをミクロジェネティックアプローチを用いて考察する。
  平成30年度は5か年の事業期間の2年目にあたる。春学期には予備調査を実施した。予備調査の経験をもとにL2 Motivationの測定方法やタスクに使用するマテリアルの選定、そしてペアリングの在り方など本調査へ向けて研究計画を検討した。秋学期には協力者を募集し、本調査を実施した。具体的には、英語力とペアワークで用いるタスクの課題内容であるバイリンガリズムに関する興味を軸にペアリングをした。ペア活動の録画、その録画動画を見ながらモチベーションについての振り返りやインタビューなどのデータを収集を行った。, 日本学術振興会, 科学研究費助成事業 基盤研究(C), 2017年04月 -2022年03月, 基盤研究(C), 同志社大学
• 大学初年次における英語リメディアル教育のあり方：習熟度と学習動機からの考察

  本研究は英語の習熟度、特に英語のReading力と英語を学ぶモチベーションや英語でのReadingのモチベーションの関係性を量的に探るとともに、低学力者層の英語を学ぶモチベーションのパターンを質的に調査し、リメディアル教育の在り方を考察した。その結果、「わからない」→「わかる」という経験を積むことの重要性、努力が目に見える形（成績や人からの褒め言葉など）で報われること、自分の学習について見つめなおす機会およびアドバイスを与えること、そしてポジティブな自己概念の形成に繋がるようなサポート体制が必要であるとわかった。, 日本学術振興会, 科学研究費助成事業 基盤研究(C), 2011年04月 -2015年03月, 基盤研究(C), 同志社大学
