• K.ポランニーの社会経済思想と労働者教育協会

  本年度もコロナウィルスの拡大により、海外渡航がかなわなかったため、予定していたスケジュールを変更した。海外渡航によって入手予定の資料や、学会報告を控え、すでに入手済みの資料や公刊資料の読解に努めた。とりわけ、ポランニーのイギリス時代だけでなく、ハンバガリーやオーストリア時代つまりイギリス滞在以前の足跡を整理した。また、関連資料が公刊されたことにより、ポランニー家の行動をカールだけでなく、その兄弟や子供らの記録から接近した。思想を追う上で、身近な家族らの内的な出来事はややもすれば、研究から欠落しかねないが、本年度の活動により、細かなイベントをも顧慮してポランニー像を結ぶことができると期待する。たとえば、カールの妹パールの早世によるうつ状態、妻イロナがアメリカ入国が許されなかった経緯、さらに姉ラウラの晩年の研究活動を後押ししたカールの援助などが挙げられる。これらがカールの思想形成に少なくない影響を及ぼしたことは言うまでもない。 また、これらの調査より、ポランニー家の活動というあらたな研究テーマの萌芽も期待できる。ポランニー家はカールだけでなく、兄弟をはじめ、その親世代や子どもらも、卓越した業績を持つ。カールの兄弟だけでも、姉のラウラ、弟のマイケルは当時の知識人として、歴史に名を刻んでいる。カールの子供世代も同様に、子であるカリのカリブ海の政治経済学研究をはじめ、北米で活躍した陶器デザイナーや医学技術の開発者、さらにはハンガリーの測量技術研究者などとして活躍した。また、カールの父親世代も、ロシア系の知的聖職者や工場経営のブルジョワであった。20世紀のハンガリー＝オーストリア二重帝国という文脈をもとに、ポランニー一家の各人を検討することは、知的移民の足跡をしるすことに直結する。, 日本学術振興会, 科学研究費助成事業, 2020/04 -2023/03, 若手研究, 同志社大学

  This research project has been performed to clarify a genealogy of economic agents on which economics traditionally has been based, from “the birth of economics” in Scottish enlightenment to current behavioral economics or neuroeconomics.
