本研究は、5年で大学における「持続可能な開発のための教育(ESD)」プログラムの開発およびそのプログラムの実証的な検証を行うことである。具体的には、1）卒業時に役に立つか否かが問われる知識と技能の道具的側面ではなく、存在論も含めたサステイナビリティの深い問いかけを扱う教育プログラムの開発、2）学際的・経験的・浸透型という実施手法の3アプローチを検証、3）相互に関係する現実の中、小さな変化が大きな変化を生み出すことを把握できるシステム分析とプログラム評価の一部によって、個人と機関の変容を参加型評価で行うことである。目的達成のため文献調査、国内外の訪問調査、プログラム実施のアクション・リサーチを行っている。既に多くみられるESD実践の中でも、学習者と社会の深い水準での変容を想定した「深いESD」実践はまだ少ない。本研究では3大学で「深いESD」プログラムを開発・実施し、その成果を個人および大学レベルで検証している。 当該年度の研究実績としては、1）開発した教育プログラムを2年にわたり実践しており、中でも2）学際的アプローチと経験的アプローチについては実践の蓄積が見られた。しかし、浸透型・全機関型アプローチについては明示的には展開できていない。また3）評価については、1年サイクルを回して把握を試みている段階にある。ただし、文献調査および国内外の学会などによる研究交流によって、それらの妥当性は見いだせている。アクション・リサーチとして、大学の正規プログラムと連動させて検証が進んでおり、研究の中間年において研究成果を広く共有しはじめている。, Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (B), 2020/04 -2025/03, Coinvestigator, Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (B), Sophia University - A Comparative Sociological Study on Sexuality Education for a Culturally Diverse Society

2021年度も前年度に引き続いて新型コロナウイルスの影響が続き、海外渡航が困難な状況は変わらないままであった。その結果、本年度において予定していたヨーロッパ（オランダ・ベルギー）での現地調査は不可能となった。このような状況を踏まえ、2021年度においても、本研究の目的自体は変えることなく、具体的な実施計画に修正を加えながら、以下の研究を遂行してきた。 まず、ヨーロッパの多文化社会におけるセクシュアリティ教育のポリティクスにかかわる問題背景と理論的枠組みを整理し、それらを批判的に考察したうえで、単著にまとめていく作業を昨年度に引き続き行った。 その過程において、欧州評議会子どもの性的搾取及び性的虐待からの保護に関する条約事務局が、条約履行の一環として推進しているセクシュアリティ教育教材の展開に着目し、その教材の翻訳にかかわりつつ、欧州全体におけるセクシュアリティ教育の取り組みの広がりについて、条約事務局からメールでの聞き取りを行った。 並行して、オランダ及びベルギーのムスリムコミュニティにおけるインフォーマントと定期的にメール等で連絡をとり、両国におけるイスラーム教育やセクシュアリティ教育の最新の現状や課題について情報を得る機会を得た。 以上の成果は、共著への寄稿や学会発表などを通じて部分的に公表したが、単著の完成原稿を仕上げるには至らなかった。単著の完成原稿は、来年度の前半までにまとめることを目標にしている。, Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (C), 2019/04 -2025/03, Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (C), Nagasaki University - Cross-national Survey of Causes and Measures on Early School Leaving

第1にEUの教育政策目標に対して1990年代から2020年までのEUと各国の予防、介入、補償がどこまで達成されているか明らかにする。EUと各国政府（イギリス、フランス、ドイツ、オランダ、スペイン、ポルトガル、スウェーデン、ノルウェー、EU新規加盟10か国）の報告書および法令を中心に資料収集および担当者へのインタビューを実施した。また国内にて研究会を重ね、相互に情報交換を行った。 第2にセカンド・チャンス教育およびノンフォーマル教育にみるグッド・プラクティス校を中心に質的調査を教育行政および研究者にインタビューおよび、実際の学校教育訓練機関を訪問調査を始めた。コロナ禍の状況を鑑みて、一部の国では調査は延期とした。 これらを通じて、公教育における課程主義による資格取得を目指す欧州と、就学義務によって卒業資格を目指す日本との比較から、教育と職業訓練の学校教育化のメリットと、学校嫌悪、不登校、不本意入学による進路変更や中退問題等にみる学校教育化のデメリットとノンフォーマル教育のメリットについて総合的に国内にて研究会を中心に検討を重ねた。また日本比較教育学会等にて自由研究（個人と共同）発表など実施した。後半は、書籍にまとめるために、国別に研究会を重ねたり、国外の研究者と情報交換を実施しながら、コロナ禍国内外に出張することは難しいなか、オン・オフラインで研究を進めた。 第1の目的である政策分析の比較については、 年度末に原稿を持ち寄り、合評会を実施する予定であったが、コロナ禍実現できなかったため、メールによる意見交換となった。執筆したそれぞれの原稿は次年度中に書籍にまとめる予定である。, Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (A), 2019/04 -2024/03, Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (A), Osaka University - Transformations of the Secular and Reconfigurations of "the Religious" in the West: Interdisciplinary and Comparative Research

2020年度はコロナ禍による2021年度への繰越もあった。以下、2020年4月から2022年3月に及ぶ「初年度」の実績の概要について記したい。 2020年5月開催のキックオフミーティングのあと、A班「カトリック圏における宗教的伝統の再構成」、B班「西洋におけるイスラームとジェンダー」、C班「世俗の新展開と人間の条件の変化」の3班に分かれて、各班年間最低2回の定例研究会を開催することにした。2022年3月までに合計14回の定例研究会を行った。 この間、前身科研の内容をまとめた『ヨーロッパの世俗と宗教』（勁草書房）を刊行した（2020年10月）。この成果を、後続科研として位置づけられる本プロジェクトのメンバー（新メンバーも含む）で共有した。そのうえで、さらにヴァージョン・アップした全体の枠組みを文献調査や先行研究の整理などを中心に研究代表者と各班班長のあいだで練る一方、全メンバーがそれぞれ少なくとも1度ずつ自分自身が取り組む研究の具体的内容を全体の枠組みのなかに位置づけるような発表を行った。それにより、メンバー間の相互理解と各メンバーの本科研における研究の具体的方向性を見定めることができた。 当初予定していた海外への渡航や海外からの招聘計画はコロナ禍のため見直しを余儀なくされた部分があるが、オンラインによる本科研主催の国際研究集会を合計4回行ったほか、各メンバーはオンラインやハイブリッドで開催される内外の国際学会や研究集会での発表も積極的に行った。コロナの状況が少しずつ改善されるにともない、メンバーのなかには海外での研究を進めることができた者もいる。これらと並行しながら、最終的な成果の土台となるような論文や著訳書の刊行も精力的に進めている。, Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (A), 2020/04 -2024/03, Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (A), The University of Tokyo - Interregional Comparative Study on Independent-minded Islamic Education Reforms Proceeding in Muslim Residential Areas

For this research, by adopting an interdisciplinary approach, we attempted to gain a new perspective on church and state relations in Europe. Our scope of interest has been extensive both geographically and historically. We were successful, to some extent, in coming up with a new narrative about Europe. We did our best in combining efforts of researchers from various disciplines each of whom examined the unique features of each country/area. That enabled us to gain a more adequate, or realistic overview of church and state relations in Europe as a whole. This study was based on how the cultural and religious diversity of the members of society has been taken into account as European countries develop and implement educational programs to prevent sexual abuse of children. In so doing, this research aimed at considering future issues. In terms of policy development, the research focused on trends in Europe as a whole, and for in-depth case studies, through the Dutch case. As a result of the case study, it was found that, while having been recognized the need to consider the cultural and religious background of children , it remains unclear as to what is meant by “consideration”. Also, it became clear from the survey of children of immigrant families that some immigrants are starting to make educational materials independently. This project provides a study of the patterns of ethnic educational inequality among the immigrants descendants in secondary schools in Japan and 8 European countries-France, Germany, England, Sweden, Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Russia. These are countries which have become increasingly diverse in recent years and which provide a range of educational systems, immigration laws, and integration( or inclusion) policies. In the second part of analysis, we are interested in the second generation, who have been born and educated in the countries of destination, is widely seen as being a crucial for the social cohesion and especially for the employment. The purpose of this study was to compare the actual states of school success and failure of second generation immigrants and find out the factors behind them in the EU( particularly U.K.,France,Germany, the Netherlands,Belgium).We approach the theme from various viewpoints including the process of the formation of their identities, and the influences of their parents and ethnic and local communities based on the anthropological fieldwork. To be concluded, we pointed out that the struggles towards children's school success by Islamic groups and local associations had been effective.We also mentioned that the factors such as being Islam, ethnicity,gender and parents' educational levels and socio-economic statuses and so on had been connected to affect children's school success and failure. This study examines the effects that the pro-democracy movements that began in 2011 in various Arab states are having on non-Arab Muslim societies, specifically examining the following: (1) Egypt, which became the core of the pro-democracy movements; (2) Turkey, which set a precedent in implementing democratic reforms; (3) Iran and Afghanistan, where democratization and structural reform are of key significance in terms of security; (4) Indonesia, which has the highest Muslim population in the world; and (5) Muslim migrant societies in Western Europe, which keep a keen watch on the democratization of their home countries. 平成19年度は、平成18年度で明らかにしたオランダ、ベルギー、フランスの公教育における宗教の構造的位置づけの違いと宗教的規範や宗教教育に対する処遇の違いを踏まえ、主に二つの課題に取り組んだ。 第一の課題は、前年度に引き続き、各国の公教育の場でイスラームへの対応をめぐって生じている個別の問題や矛盾を国民・市民の育成と「普遍的」価値の伝達という近代公教育の機能の観点から捉え直すことにより、共通して表出している傾向を抽出することであった。一連の分析から、これらの国におけるムスリム移民の統合をめぐる共通した論点とその論点に含まれるイスラームフォビア的な思考様式を指摘した。これらの研究成果は主に平成19年度の前半に行った日本国内での研究活動を通じて公表した。 第二の課題は、これまでの研究成果を踏まえて、個人の信仰や宗教的規範の違いを考慮に入れた公教育での異文化間教育のありかたを展望することであった。この課題は、ヨーロッパ社会の世俗化やムスリム以外の信徒の存在など、他の様々な諸要素をも考慮し多角的に考察すべき複雑な内容である。本課題に取り組むため、平成19年度後半からはフランス国立社会科学高等研究院のPD研究員として籍を置き、特に宗教学や宗教教育学の知見を深めることにより、本課題に関わる基礎的研究を進めることが可能となった。具体的には、宗教を基盤とした異文化間教育の質的条件(信仰をどのように、またどこまで扱うか)と、構造的条件(信仰をどのような場で扱うか)をめぐる萌芽的研究を行い、その成果を同研究院の研究会で報告し、宗教学研究者や教育学者などから輻広い意見やコメントを得ることができた。, Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research Grant-in-Aid for JSPS Fellows, 2006 -2007, Principal investigator, Competitive research funding, Grant-in-Aid for JSPS Fellows, Hitotsubashi University
