もし、「あなたは、研究者ですか、それとも教師教育者ですか」と問われれば、私は教師教育者であると応えるであろう。もちろん、将来的には「研究のできる教師教育者」でありたいし、大学教員としてのアイデンティティはそこにあるように思います。そのような中、私は、教師教育研究や教科教育学（とりわけ，体育科教育学）の研究と実践に関わっています。
まず前者の研究では、現在、欧州（とりわけ，オランダ）の研究者との国際シンポジウムや講演セミナーの企画・運営などを通して、教師教育の国際比較分析に力を注いでいます。そのような契機をつくってくれたのが、教師教育者のアイデンティティ研究の先駆的な研究者であるDr. Anja Swennen（Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam；アムステルダム自由大学）です。彼女との出会いは、サバティカル研修であり、2016年-2017年間、とても丁寧に研究指導や教育支援をしていただきました。
次に後者については、日本の体育科の授業研究をはじめとした校内研や県市の講演会に従事し，体育科教師の力量形成に貢献できるように従事しています。もちろん、保健体育科教師達人セミナー（HePESET）という「自主研究サークル」の場においても、附属教員や公立学校の教員、そして大学生がコラボして教材開発も行っています。こうした取り組みは、教師教育における教員養成や現職教育を有機的に「つなぐ」ものになると考えています。
以上のように、私は、教員養成や教師教育の実証的な研究と実践に関わっております。しかし、その一方で、体育科の授業研究の充実や教師教育者の成長を願って、国内外の大学や学校への調査や研究会への参加も続けております。今後は、他国の教師教育機関とも連携をはかりながら、国内外のカリキュラム論や授業論，そして教師教育研究や実践に取り組んでいきたいと考えております。

本研究では，諸外国における「開発と平和のためのスポーツ（Sport for Development and Peace：以下，SDP と表記）」に関する施策の動向及び現状について明らかにし，今後，我が国で検討すべき SDP の方策及び課題を導出することを目的としている．具体的には以下の二点を到達点として設定している． （1）我が国及び諸外国，また，国連・国際機関における SDP 施策の動向と現状について 明らかにする．さらに，SDP 分野で先駆的な取り組みをしている，イギリス，カナダ，オーストラリアを対象国とし，各国々における SDP 施策の動向・現状の詳細を明らかにし，それぞれの共通性や特殊性などを導出する． （2）（1）の結果の比較検討から，我が国の SDP 施策や手法についての課題を導出する． 本年度は，次年度以降に予定している上記対象国についての事前調査を進めるとともに，我が国のSDP並びにスポーツ国際貢献についての基礎データを収集した．また，これらの成果の一部について，学術雑誌への投稿及び学会発表などにてまとめることができた．, 日本学術振興会, 科学研究費助成事業 基盤研究(C), 2021/04 -2024/03, 基盤研究(C), 広島大学 - US-Japan comparison of teaching professional standards

2020年度は，米国の専門職基準に関する文献調査を中心に実施した。今年度は，専門職基準の中でも，全米教職専門職基準委員会(National Board for Professional Teaching. Standards, 以下 NBPTS)と，州教職員専門職基準委員会の策定する基準に注目した。調査は，教育政策グループ，社会科グループ，体育科グループの３つのパートに分かれて進めた。 まず，NBPTSについては，専門職基準の策定プロセス，教科（社会科・体育）の基準の内容などを分析し，自律的な変革を促す専門職基準のあり方について検討した。その際，二つのポイントに注目した。一つに，専門職基準の自律的な活用のための要素がどのように設定されているかという点である。教員の専門性のコアを示す専門職基準が，誰によって，いかなるプロセスで策定されたのか，その際にどのような点が議論されたのかを分析した。二つに，教科担当教員の専門職基準が，誰によって，どのように策定されたのかという点である。これらの研究成果は，日本教師教育学会，日本スポーツ教育学会，日本社会科教育学会で発表した。 また，州教職員専門職基準委員会については，その役割や機能を整理，分析した。具体的に，基準委員会の歴史的展開を踏まえた上で、各州の基準委員会の組織体制や専門職基準の策定・活用の活動を整理・分析することで全米の状況を把握し、その特徴や傾向を検討した。これらの成果は，日本教育行政学会で，発表した。, Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (C), 2020/04 -2023/03, Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (C), Shiga University - Empirical Research of Professional Development on Identity Formation and Growth based Teacher Educator

本研究は、教師教育者のアイデンティティ形成と発達の過程を解明する中で、汎用的な教師教育者育成プログラムを開発することを目的としている。とりわけ、体育科教育を事例として、研究分担者とともに実証的に検討を重ねていく。 具体的には、研究課題を3点設定している。そして、本年度は、研究課題①：大学の教職課程に就職後、とりわけ「指導法に関する科目」に従事する教師教育者はどのような困難に直面し、それをどのように乗り越えていくか【専門職としてのアイデンティティ形成と発達の解明】と研究課題②：「教職コアカリキュラム」を意図したFDを開催し、お互いの実地視察を通して、教科教育と教科内容の担当教員が協働的に授業を構築し、省察しながら資質能力をどのように担保していくのか【協働的な教師教育者と質保証の方途】の2点を中心に研究を進めた。なお、研究課題③として、上記の課題①②を解明し、日欧の先駆的な知見と比較検討を通して教師教育者育成プログラムの類型化や定型化をどのように策定していくのか【汎用的教師教育者育成プログラム】を設定している。 本年度の調査の結果、研究実績として、（1）国内外の教師教育者のアイデンティティ形成に関する資料を収集した。もちろん、研究分担者と研究交流会をオンラインで実施し，教師教育者のアイデンティティ形成・発達過程について検討した。また、（2）教師教育者の育成に関する国内外の先行研究をレビューする中で、教員養成から教職課程着任までの教師教育者育成のモデル・カリキュラムのための基礎データを蓄積した。なお、コロナの影響で、海外調査は次年度以降に対応することとした。, Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (C), 2020/04 -2023/03, Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (C), Hiroshima University - Development of an assessment system for quality assurance of teacher education by community collaboration

2019年度は，2018年度に引き続き，国内外における教職課程の質保証についての取り組みをについて調査，整理することであった。 まず国内に関する取り組みとして，研究代表者の嘉数は，学校と教育委員会，大学の連携による早期の学校体験における教師志望学生の力量形成に実態ついて国際学会にて発表した。また，研究分担者の岩田は，日本における教職課程や教員養成の質保証に関する研究の動向から，日本における教員養成の質保証の実態や課題について整理した。嘉納は，大学と地域の学校の連携による教育実習生の配置システムについて整理した。小林は，学校や地域が抱える課題について教育委員会との連携による取り組みとその検証を行った。 国外調査として，研究代表者の嘉数は，一年間のシンガポールにおける学外研修を通して，シンガポールの教員養成が「学校（School）」「大学（NIE）」「教育省（MOE）」のPartnership Modelを軸とした教員養成の実態について調査した。また，教員養成だけでなく，高等教育機関とし学修の質保証についてどのように取り組んでいるのかについても調査を行った。興味深い取り組みとしては，成績評価のピア・レビューや個別指導の充実が挙げられる。 2019年度の後半には，研究代表者の所属する大学において教職課程の取り組みについて自己点検・評価を実施する予定であったが，取り組みについての理解と環境を整備することに時間を要したため，十分な取り組みが出来なかった。また，COVID-19の影響もあり，国外調査を断念したケースもあるため，継続した調査が必要である。, Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (B), 2018/04 -2022/03, Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (B), Okinawa University - Development of Lesson Study on Physical Education for Professional Development for School Teachers

(1) In the in-school training in Japan, "reflection" was positioned in the course of lesson study, and an in-school training program was implemented that formed teachers' knowledge of physical education classes and their beliefs in teaching materials and children. In addition, as a supplementary training for physical education teachers dispatched as a member of the Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers, a physical education lesson study was conducted and a certain degree of reflection was developed. (2) Lin Nan, a research collaborator, conducted a class study at a primary school in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China, as a training course for newcomers. As a result, the “reflection” of Chinese elementary school physical education teachers has improved in terms of teacher behavior. In this research, focusing on the process of overcoming the risks facing teachers, in order to develop the measurement scale of the ability to be demonstrated when overcoming it, and to clarify the process of their demonstration and formation and transformation Carried out. In this study, we have been working on the following four research projects.the research project①, We addressed this project from the five viewpoints by focusing on the opportunities to develop and change the teacher’s “belief”. In the research project②, we also examined how the students who want to be health and physical education teachers changed their views of teacher through the teaching practice. Our results suggest that a teacher’s adviser has an influence on the development of the existing view of teacher. In the research project④, we learned the actual situation of teacher training and the working of quality assurance of teacher through the teaching practice by investigating in Singapore. However, we were unable to specifically identify the actual situation and problems during the development process in the teacher’s life-stage in the research project③. This study investigated the development of competence of pre-service teachers and in-service teachers pertaining to physical education classes. This study also examined how teacher-cultivation curricula and novice physical education teachers’ classes and training influence the formation of their views regarding physical education classes. The results of this study reveal that teachers’ “beliefs” in Japan were considered in relation to the views on classes or views on children and that the views on classes were regarded as an important factor in the development of “competence” in class design and practice. It was also revealed that the views on classes during the teacher cultivation phase varied in how robust they were with regard to practical teaching experience. We implemented and improved the in-service training program that physical education coordinators organized on-job training within their schools in order to communicate and share information about teaching physical education. As a result, it was important head teachers and in-service training coordinators had to lead school teachers to share ideas and skill of teaching physical education which they learned from physical education specialist out of schools. Besides it was founded that ideas and skill of teaching physical education was shared with school teachers through practical exercises training program, lesson study and daily dialogue with colleagues. The present study aimed to verify the intervention effect on early exposure program in teacher training education. First, quantitative index of “motivation scale on teacher-training students based on self-determination theory” was developed. An early exposure intervention program was then implemented to the first-grade students of teacher training for 1 month at their campus. It is found that elementary school teachers have various needs in-service training and professional development for teaching physical education. The aim of this project is to survey the 'Electronic Portfolio' as a new assessment model for the introduction into the pre-service teacher education. First, we visited some forward-looking universities in US, Europe and Asia which have already developed portfolio assessment or have constructed certain system for the assurance of teachers' quality. On the basis of the survey we have developed 'Teacher Education Hiroshima University Standard' and Electronic Portfolio for our university.
