      (1) The first two years of the research period were devoted to finding and collecting new historical materials in Germany. (2) In the third year, the results of our concerted research of these materials were presented at the symposia of the Japanese Society for the Occidental History, the Society for the Modern German History, and the Institute of Human Sciences(Doshisha University), respectively. (3) In addition to these, throughout the research period, we established close connections with Professor Hockerts and Dr. Kuller of the University of Munich.     • Comparative Social History about Innovation of ICT and the Gendering of Work in Germany and Japan

      本年度は昨年度の課題として設定した、当該研究テーマにおける家族と職場の関係を今後解明していくことを念頭に、夏にドイツ・ベルリンにおいて史資料調査(ベルリンの連邦文書館及びベルリン州立図書館において、ドイツの家族と労働及び技術に関する社会学及び歴史学の二次文献の収集、近年の動向を知る手がかりとなる文献や雑誌を調査・検討した)を重点的に行った。 これと併せて、国内外の学会や研究会での発表、さらに論文の発表を積極的に進めることを通じて、本年度まで行なってきた国内外のインタビュー及び史資料調査の成果を、まとめ、公表した。特に今年は、去年北京で開催された国際科学史学会で共同発表した研究者たちと、フィリピン・マニラにおけるアジア歴史家会議で協働で研究報告を行い、そこで外国の研究者とも意見交換をした。また、日独フォーラムでは主催者として企画の立案から運営までに携わった。そこでは昨年同様、日本人のドイツ研究者のみならず、日本で学ぶドイツ人研究者と活発な意見交流をすることができた。昨年のフォーラムでの報告は、今年度日本とドイツで報告集が刊行された。 現在も博士論文執筆中に十分できなかったドイツ人に対する聞き取り調査を継続中で、1960年代にドイツのケルンで電信オペレーターをしていた1945年生まれのドイツ人女性に対しても追跡調査を行なっている。今後は以上のような研究蓄積をさらに整理し、これを学会で発表する他、リライトする作業に集中したい(今後その成果を日本語の単著というかたちで出版することを展望している)。, Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, Grant-in-Aid for JSPS Fellows, 2004 -2006, Principal investigator, Competitive research funding, 特別研究員奨励費, 一橋大学
    • Technological Innovation and Gendering of Work: Telephone Operator and Telegrapher

      本研究は歴史・社会学的な手法を用いて、テレフォン・オペレーター職(戦前と戦後の一時期は電話交換手を、現在は主にテレワーカーやテレコミュニケーターと呼ばれる)と電信・電報オペレーター職の生成過程とその現状をめぐる日独比較を試みるものであり、歴史分析編と現状分析編の二部から構成される。ジェンダー化(特定の性別と関連する意味が付与されること)された職種として出発したテレフォン・オペレーターの現状を探り、その変動の兆しや変化を阻む要因を分析することが研究の主旨である。歴史分析編では引き続き職員の身上調査記録を分析し、現状分析編では日独の元職員(今年は主に電信技手)へのインタビューや社史(電電公社・NTTやドイツテレコム)の検討を進めている。 本年度は日本で入手不可能な戦前のドイツ逓信省の郵便・電信吏員組合の発行した機関誌や電話交換手や電信技手の人事記録など、ドイツの公文書館(ベルリンとミュンヘン)に所蔵されている史料の分類・整理・翻訳作業を、夏に引き続き行った。その際に、全体像を把握できる基礎データを作成し、これらのデータをコンピュータ入力し、データベース化し、また、史料のキーワードや関連書誌データも添付する作業も行なつた。その他には、先行研究者との意見交換やドイツ・テレコムとその職員、日本でも元電信技手へのインタビュー、日本の逓信総合博物館(『逓信協会雑誌』など)・東京大学医学部(労働科学・政策に関する雑誌)・明治文庫(『読売新聞』など)所蔵の資料の調査を引き続き進めた。そしてこうした蓄積の上に、本研究に関わる研究史や論文を発表した。来年はこれをもとに学会発表をする予定である。この他にも、修士論文の一部をまとめた論考をドイツ学会で共同発表し、共著として出版することができた。, Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, Grant-in-Aid for JSPS Fellows, 2002 -2003, Principal investigator, Competitive research funding, 特別研究員奨励費, 一橋大学
