- Policies to Promote the Diffusion of Next-Generation Vehicles and their Global Benefits

The imperative to design sustainable future transportation systems on a global scale will require global market diffusion of next-generation vehicles, an area in which Japanese companies currently lead the world. Based on this idea, the research comprises of the following two tasks: 1) Study of governmental economic incentives for the diffusion of next-generation vehicles, and 2) Study of global benefits from the diffusion of next-generation vehicles.

若手研究（Ｂ）, 2003 -2005, Competitive research funding - 不完全モニタリングの繰り返しゲームにおけるシグナルの構造に関する一考察
川上 敏和
ホテリングタイプの立地モデルにおいて、企業が価格競争繰り返しゲームを行うという設定を考え、更に相手の行動が完全に観察できない不完全モニタリングの状況を想定したモデルについて考察した。このような研究には既に、Raith(1996)による先行研究が存在する。Raithは予期せざるマクロ需要ショックにより、不完全モニタリングの状況が生じ、また企業の差別化の程度によってモニタリングの精度が影響を受けるモデルについて考察している。企業の差別化の程度とモニタリングの精度に関しては、私の目的としたのと同様、差別化の程度が広がるとモニタリングの精度が落ちるということが説明されている。しかしながら、それを考慮に入れ、企業がどのような立地を選ぶかという点の分析は、部分的な結論は導き出されているが、まだ不十分である。完全モニタリングのケースに関して言うと、差別化の程度が狭くなると、企業間の協調はより困難になることが一般に知られている。何故なら、差別化の程度が狭くなると、より相手企業との利害対立が鮮明になってくるからである。従って、差別化の程度が変化した際のモニタリングの精度と利害対立の協調への影響は正反対のものとなり、これらを明らかにすることは依然として重要と考えられる。しかしながら技術的に困難な点があり、まだ研究は公表できる段階に至っていない。これまでの研究の成果については、先行研究を概観し、それらの問題点を 「製品差別化と協調」福島大学 Discussion Paper Series No.16 という論文にまとめたので参照されたい。 参考文献 Raith,M.1996.Product Differentiation,Uncertainty and Stability of Collusion.
